It's about community
A resident of Eaton County for over 20 years, Jacob has served on the department of public works, administration, and communications committees as a Trustee in the Village of Dimondale. Jacob's decision to run for Eaton County Commissioner is simple; he wants to ensure our communities remain an amazing place for families to live, grow, and shop. He believes Eaton County deserves a commissioner who will take a bipartisan approach to pass common-sense policies that will pay off for both individuals and businesses, not just a small segment of extreme groups.

Background
Family. Community. Service.
The Toomey family has called Michigan home for generations. Jacob's grandfather, Jack, proudly worked as a skilled tradesman at General Motors for 40 years while his grandmother, Souad, was a local teacher and passionate volunteer at the church. Throughout his youth, Jack and Souad taught Jacob to lead by example, work hard, and love his community— for which he is beyond grateful.
Jacob's parents, Leon and Linda, moved to Dimondale, Michigan to live out their dreams of starting a family and their very own small business.
Jacob has now lived in the Village of Dimondale for the past 20 years, instilling strong community roots working with local government, schools, and individual community members.
